Why learn with Bex

Bex Northman forages and teaches across Cumbria’s woodlands and coastlines. She’s a Member of the Association of Foragers, and her workshops pair plant identification with the thing most foraging courses skip: what to actually do with what you find. Bex’s famously mouth-watering cooking shows in every session.

This used to be ordinary, everyday knowledge. You don’t need to be a specialist to reclaim it. You just need someone to show you, safely, once.

How it works

  1. Pick a walk or workshop that matches what you want to learn.
  2. Learn hands-on, in a small group, taught by Bex.
  3. Leave with a skill, and often something you’ve made yourself, that you can use straight away.

What people say

Foraging walk

“She knows her wild plants inside out and shares her wisdom with infectious enthusiasm… We learned loads identifying edible plants, understanding their uses, and even hearing quirky folklore along the way. Bex didn’t just teach; she empowered us to forage safely and confidently.”

Deborah, five-star Google review
