Soothing Spring Brews: Traditional Herbal Tea Workshop
April 19 @ 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM
£30.00
2-hour guided herbal tea workshop | The Yoga Studio Carlisle | £30 per person
It’s the season of renewal, of energy rising and new growth. But it’s also the season of hay fever, allergies, and the lingering colds and headaches connected with lots of weather changes. We know we need to make time to look after ourselves, but that can often mean a tepid bath, a relaxing night in front of the TV, and a few glasses of wine (or paracetamols) when it gets too much. Not exactly what nature intended.
So imagine this instead…
You come to a beautiful space, a 200-year-old barn hidden in the middle of Carlisle a calming sanctuary where you can really slow down and relax. We’ll enjoy a specially prepared decocted tea, full of healing herbs and fungi, nourishing and warm. You’ll be taken through a meditation to connect with your body and how you really feel. Then you can enjoy a nourishing wild snack to enjoy with a herbal infusion before you go onto designing and making your very own herbal tea mix to take away with you.
So the next time you feel overwhelmed… there will be a little something to remind you to slow down, something you’ve made specially for yourself with the knowledge you have gained.
Held at The Yoga Studio Carlisle, you’ll explore the folklore and traditional uses of seasonal spring herbs, practice preparation techniques, and craft your own custom tea blend to take home.
This is a space to reconnect with the season, clear the winter fog, and gain practical skills you can use at home, no experience needed.
