The Wisdom of the Hedgerow

Hello, nature lovers!

I’m still feeling a wonderful sense of calm and empowerment after our medicinal foraging walk on Saturday, August 2nd. The weather was on our side, providing a beautiful backdrop as we delved into the fascinating world of hedgerow medicine

It was a joy to be joined by such an enthusiastic group of people, all keen to learn about the plants that grow all around us. We talked about some of the incredible plants we can find in our local landscape and the properties they are known to have. We discussed how these plants have been used for centuries, and how modern science is now helping us to better understand their benefits.

It’s important to remember that this isn’t about prescribing or diagnosing, but about empowering ourselves with knowledge. We talked about how to identify plants and their historical uses, always encouraging everyone to do their own research and be mindful of what is right for them. My goal is always to inspire a deeper connection to nature and a sense of curiosity, not to offer medical advice.

The walk was a beautiful reminder that we have so much to learn from the natural world. By taking the time to understand the plants around us, we can gain a new appreciation for the landscape and the ways in which we can nourish ourselves and our loved ones naturally.

I can’t wait to see you all on the next adventure, whether it’s on a foraging walk, a wild medicine course, or a community circle.
